City Council Committee Proposes Motion to Get LAHSA to Account for Money in and Money Out and Services Rendered

Everyone wants to know where the money for homeless is being spent and is there a record of accomplishment–this works better than this, etc, The Los Angeles Homeless Services Authority (LAHSA), the money manager for County and City is being asked or will be asked to account for their inflow of funds and their spending. When this will go before the City Council is not known.

The Homeless and Poverty committee of the LA City Council proposed a motion 15 January that asks LAHSA for a detailed accounting of all its inflow funding and an account of all expenses by category, program, and provider along with performance data over the past four years. The committee has given them 60 days to comply.
