Supervisor Kuehl Says Corinth Court House to Be Mixed Use

Rachel Simon, Associate Housing and Homelessness Deputy for Sheila Kuehl, wrote the following announcement regarding the status of the West Los Angeles Court House on Corinth.

We want to share an exciting update with you about the West Los Angeles Courthouse! The Courthouse property is a complicated project that will require the collaboration of the County, City, State, and private market. As part of the acquisition process, we will be releasing a Request for Proposals (RFP) today that asks developers to create proposals for the design, construction, and financing of a mixed-use project which may include affordable and market rate housing, community serving space, open space and parking. The RFP can be found on the Los Angeles County Development Authority’s (LACDA’s) solicitation page here. Please note that in order to download and respond to the RFP, vendors must have a registered account. Instructions on becoming a registered vendor can be found here.

We received important feedback from the community online and during our two open houses. This feedback has helped us understand what we must consider throughout this process and helped shape the RFP being released today.

As a reminder we have setup a website here where you can find out information about the proposal, provide feedback, and sign-up for updates.

We will continue to insist on a robust community process and look forward to sending updates as we move through this process.
