General Services Letter to City Council Requests Authorization to Negotiate Lease with MTA

(16 June 2019) The Department of General Services (GSD)has requested authority to negotiate and execute a new lease with the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transit Authority (LA Metro) at 100 Sunset Avenue (100 Sunset), Venice, CA 90293 for use as a crisis and bridge housing facility in Council District 11 (CD 11).  See  MTA request for lease

    7.6M dollars for Something temporary. That seems ridiculously expensive. How much does it cost to build crisis centers when natural disaster hit? But on the bright side, the beneficiaries of this development besides the homeless is the general public. Sounds about right.

    Read Garcetti’s website about why there is Homelessness. He lists six reason, but doesn’t include drug addiction. Is he clueless???

    Whose signatures are on these documents, the names don’t seem to match the signatures

    A three year lease for 154 beds at a cost of $20,000,000.00-is this possible? No wonder after $600,000,000.00 the bum population is up 16%. Good job Mr Bonin.

    Obviously this not the best use of taxpayers funds, especially for short term use, the city and Mike boning and Eric Garcetti should be held accountable for for the waste, for trophy properties, we have solutions the city does not listen
