Free Trees Friday

One hundred trees (50 fruit and 50 regular) will be at the Venice Farmers Market for adoption from 7:30 to 11 am Friday, 500 Venice Blvd. The trees are in honor of Earth Day, according to Abigail Myers of the Environmental Committee of the Venice Neighborhood Council.

Matt Kline, outreach officer, said trees will be at Venice Neighborhood Council (VNC) booth.

This is part of Million Trees Los Angeles (MTLA), a public-private partnership between the City and local non-profit organizations, community groups, residents and businesses. MTLA mission is to “improve Los Angeles’ urban forest and leave a living legacy for future generations of Angelinos,” wrote Kline.
