Washington Blvd, 6:30 pm Sunday all lanes were open. The project started Saturday morning at 6 am and was promised to be finished by or before Sunday at 5 pm. Throughout the weekend the road was open with one lane each way.
Monday the stripes were painted before 8 am.
…and it never fails. Apparently, a water main was broken, and according to man from DWP, it was paved over at Carter. Tuesday it was being fixed.
Traffic flowed freely, even with only one lane each way, during resurfacing, but Tuesday with the right turn lane closed, traffic was backed up west of Oxford and drivers were wild.
Yet to be painted are the signs so important to those living in the Triangle. Those are the signs that say something close to “do not block intersection” and are at all perpendicular streets.
