clip_image004[2]James Ramirez of Venice Community Housing Corporation (VCHC) and Steve Clare, director of VCHC, are shown manning the storage container at Venice beach across from LAPD substation.  Photo was taken Monday.
Container opened Saturday for storing homeless “stuff” and will be open every day from 3 to 5 pm.
Training for volunteers will be at 7 pm at the VCHC.  If one is interested, call the VCHC at 310-399-4100. The blue containers are for personal items.
One using container has to sign an insurance waiver stating that contents are worth less than $100.  User also has to have a sheet signed by the people at the Winter Shelter stating that user did indeed go to the shelter.

There has been no advertising of the storage container system and how it operates. The Winter Shelter is open until 1 March.
