See Abbot Kinney?

Robin Murez, resident sculptor extraordinaire and originator of other types of art, has tied a pink ribbon around her works of art on Abbot Kinney and in close proximity. The map shows the locations. They are unique pieces of art as well as glimpses into the history of Venice. She refers to the ribbons “and now for something festive.”

“I’ve put happy pink ribbons and bows on several of my no-tech interactive sculptures,” she said. “They’re installed along Abbot Kinney Boulevard and through the neighborhood.

“Spin, Peek, Flip and enjoy, as each tells a fascinating story about Venice.

“Enjoy a stroll.”

Robin, what are you doing at the corner of Venice and Ocean? It is an eyesore in it’s current state. The “bowling balls” are beautifully done, but the the dirt hills look terrible! Townhouses would have been better…..

I’m also confused by this. Mosaic ball art is beautiful but why not finish the job? Who was the artist on this and why hasn’t it come full circle to completion?? How do I get involved to help push this through?

Please contact Councilman Bonin to ask that they enable us to complete the Corner Ball Park project. The Mounds are to be planted with beautiful no mow drought tollerant grass. Pathways meander between. It will be safe, green and relates to Venice history.
