Venice Neighborhood Council (VNC) has launched a new campaign entitled “Venice Proud.”
“The plan is to get Venetians to start thinking positive about this urban beach enclave,” according to the press release.
The blue and white signs are weather-resistant and sturdy, while offering locals a way to promote Venice in a positive way.
“One of the responsibilities of the VNC is to promote Venice. These signs serve as a reminder of just how proud we are of a community that is unique, different and diversified,” offered President Mike Newhouse, a local attorney and longtime Venetian.
The signs are free and can be picked up on Fridays at the Venice Farmer’s Market between the hours of 7:00 and 11:00AM. Recycled tote bags are also available.
Local retailers are also encouraged to participate in this branding campaign by posting signs in the window of their local business.
To receive a sign, stop by the Farmer’s Market or contact the VNC at email@example.com.
